Lester L. Long

Lester “Leathern” Long, of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, January 9^th at his home on his 80^th birthday.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Blufford Long, Sr. and Hazel Fox Long; son, Mark Long; brother, Newman Long; sisters, Lydia Brewer Keener and Sadie Hooper Almon.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sharon Long; daughters, Sabrina Clendening and Sue King; brother, Roy Blufford Long, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Flossie and Harold Dale, Reba and Rev. Joe Baker, Virginia and Trammell Cleary, Jeleta and Edward Baker; 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 12^th , 2016 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Joe Baker and Rev. Roger Baker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm til 7:00pm Tuesday, January 12^th, 2016.

Burial will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 13th 2016 in Stock Hill Cemetery in Blue Ridge with graveside services by David Sluder.
