Adalene Vickery, age 80 of Chatsworth, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 19th 2015 at her home.
Adalene was born in Chipley, Florida. She married William Horace Vickery in 1953. They moved to Chatsworth in 1970 and then to Mobile, Alabama in 1976. They moved back to Chatsworth in 2007 to be near family.
When she lived in Mobile, she was a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile where she worked alongside her husband as a member of the Abba Shrine in support of the Shriner’s hospitals.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chatsworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie C. and Emmie Mae (Burch) Bush.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Vickery; sons, Blane (Nancy) and Keith (Margaret) Vickery; grandchildren, Kristin, Martin, and Merritt Vickery.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, November 21st 2015 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Van Vickery officiating. Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Friday, November 20th 2015.
