William Emmett "Buster" Phillips, age 78, of Crandall passed away at Advent Gordon Hospital on May 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elbert and Ethel Rogers Phillips; sisters Dosha Bell Phillips and Linda Faye Parrish; and brother Johnny Edward Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, RoseMarie Dejon Phillips, and son and daughter-in-law Brian and Deloris Phillips. Also surviving are grandchildren Aaron (CiJi) Phillips and Maddie Phillips; great-grandchildren Uriah, Liam, Rosie, and Lee Monroe; sisters Velma Pitts and Ina Martin; brothers Blane Phillips, James (Jimmy) Phillips, and Willie Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held at the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Chatsworth at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 with Rev. Charles Moore and Rev. Bobby Bowers officiating. Masonic Rites will conclude the service. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tennga. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26.
