Shane Duhaime Obituary

Shane Duhaime, born on July 19, 1968, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer for which he was diagnosed in March of 2023. He spent his final days surrounded by the warmth of his family, in the home he worked tirelessly to complete, ensuring his vision of a perfect haven was fulfilled. Shane’s love for his family and his faith were his guiding lights throughout his life, inspiring everyone around him.

Shane is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-eight years Vicky Lewis Duhaime, and his beloved sons, Jason Duhaime and Matthew Duhaime and his partner Cory Hines, and his cherished grandson, Jason Duhaime Jr and his mother Nicole Mitchell. Shane’s close-knit family also includes his brother, Shawn Duhaime, and wife Kathleen; his brother, Shail Duhaime, and wife Lisa; his mother, Diane Welcome Duhaime; and mother-in-law, Lois Kilmister. His extended family includes sister-in-law Lori Weischedel and her husband Garry; brother-in-law Michael Lewis; sister-in-law Kristal Bennett and her husband Dustin; and sister-in-law Michelle Colle.

Shane was predeceased by his father, William Duhaime; father-in-law John Lewis Jr; and brother-in-law Joseph Lewis. He will also be lovingly remembered by his best friends Jason Michael Masterson, Ryan Royer, Morgan Kin, Ray Sparks and several nieces and nephews.

Shane had a deep passion for life and many talents. He loved working on cars, spending days on the water, boating and fishing, and sharing delicious meals he prepared on his green egg grill. Shane was a man of profound spirituality, and his faith was unwavering, and he was a source of strength and inspiration to those who knew him. His presence and wisdom touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of kindness and love.

Shane’s determination and resilience in the face of illness were evident as he worked to complete his dream home, a final gift to his family and a testament to his enduring spirit. He will be remembered for his boundless love, fierce loyalty, and the impact he had on everyone blessed to know him.
