Merylin Jean Smith

Merylin Jean Smith, age 72 of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Advent Murray Medical Center.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Robert Smith; parents, Marcellus Matthew and Dorothy Marie Phillips; and brother, David Phillips.

She is survived by daughters, Dawn (Tony) Rampley, Georgia (Toby) Reed, and Bobbie Kay (Raymond Prezlou) Smith; grandchildren, Haydn Lunsford and Bethany Lunsford and Kayla Rampley and Hannah Rampley, Damon and Kinsley Reed, and Nevaeh (Bug) Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Lakelynn Reed, Christian Holmes, and Blakely Mooreland; sister-in-law, Nancy Ann Smith; brother-in-law, James Smith; and other relatives and friends.  

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Merylin Smith will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025, from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Jeff Johnson and Rev. Daniel Lunsford officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025.
