Linda Renee Johns

Linda Renee Johns, age 78 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

As a military spouse, she traveled to many countries, including Germany, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, and France, among others. She climbed Mount Abraham in Vermont and was an avid bowler. Her other hobbies were sewing, crocheting, and she had award winning needlepoint pictures. She was a member of Chatsworth First Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her father, Carl Hansen; mother, Helen Tyson; sister, Kristine Blanco; and great-grandchild, Amelia Louise Johns.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Johns, Chief Master Sergeant United States Air Force, Retired; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mike Waters; daughter, Evelyn Herndon; son, Thomas Valentin; brothers and sisters, Tom Hansen, Mike Tyson, Kelly Alveraz, and Tish Tyson; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, other friends, and her pet, Little Ricky.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Linda Renee Johns will be at 4:00 pm Sunday, December 29, 2024, from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Tommy Crider and Rev. George Ross officiating. The burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday, December 29, 2024.
