Kenneth Lee Arthur II

Ken Arthur, age 34, of Crandall, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Erlanger Baroness Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after a long and courageous fight with health complications. 

 Ken is survived by his loving parents, Kenneth Arthur, Sr. (Amy Arthur) and Beth Arthur (Randall Smith); his sister, Sarah Arthur, and brother, Mitchell Arthur; his grandmother, Rewanda Arthur; and his beloved chocolate lab, River. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Mike and Angela Arthur, John and Janet Arthur, and Todd Hensley, as well as his dear friend, Thomas Parr, and numerous other relatives. 

 He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Arthur and Gene and Pearle Hensley. 

 Ken grew up in the family-owned pharmacy business, S & W Pharmacy in Dalton, Georgia,  developing a deep passion for helping people. He also had a profound love for farming and the outdoors, which led him to establish and operate Arthur Farms. Ken will be remembered for his mischievous grin, his lively sense of humor, and his love of fun. He had an incredible capacity for kindness and loyalty and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. 

 Funeral services to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth, with Rev. Charlie Bridges officiating. Following the service, Ken will be laid to rest at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the funeral home. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home in Ken’s name, to help cover expenses.

Ken touched the lives of many with his generous spirit, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
