Johnny Bunyan Silvers , age 78, passed away Wednesday morning January 8th at his residence. Johnny was born January 13, 1946 at his family’s residence on Carter’s Quarter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family. Johnny worked several years as a carpenter in Murray County and helped build several homes and custom cabinets for many residents of Murray.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Pauline Silvers; brother Sam Silvers; sisters Mary Lou Harrison, Hazel Brown, Katherine Sosebee and Judy Hall; and daughter-in-law Dianna Silvers.
Johnny is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Bruce Silvers and Alfred & Sherry Silvers of Chatsworth GA; sisters Joanne Tweed (Tot), Imogene Ridley (Susie) and Juanita Green (Tommy) of Chatsworth GA; Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law Brian & Erin Silvers of Chatsworth GA; Granddaughter and Grandson-in Law Beth Cooper and Rod Fender of Pensacola FL; Great grandchildren Peyton Silvers, Beau Silvers, Katie Cooper and Cara Davis; and several extended family and friends who will truly miss him and his colorful stories and infectious laughter.
Memorail services to celebrate the life of Johnny Silvers will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
