Jeanie Lynn McClure

Jeanie Lynn McClure, 72, of Rocky Face, departed this life Monday, May 25, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

Jeanie is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph P. and Edna Ruth Scruggs, and her siblings Jimmy L. and Larry T. Muse, and Dayna Grace Lawson.

Jeanie is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Stephen McClure, her sons Scott and Rebecca Scruggs, Eric and Angela McClure, and her daughter Heather and Bobby Fugatt, her grandsons Austin Shelton, Zackery and Ashley Shelton, and Samuel Scruggs, her granddaughters, Breella and Clara Fugatt, her great granddaughters Hailyn, Maddilyn, and Abigail Shelton, her siblings twin sister Linda Joan Gill, Stephen Scruggs, Susan Scruggs, and Karen Kay Crider. Many nieces and nephews, as well as special friend who became family, Randy Goodwin, also survive.

Jeanie loved everyone with deep compassion and even through her final days would put the needs of everyone around her above herself.  Jeanie was a strong woman who faced a lot of challenges in life. Through the grace of God she overcame them all. She fought her last battle with all she had, but God knew she was tired and gave her ultimate rest in Him.

A service to celebrate the life of Jeanie will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill, Georgia.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm and following the service.
