Israel Jerome Dean, age 51, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, at his home. Israel dedicated over 30 years of his life to nursing, with his most recent years spent serving at Erlanger. He had a deep love for music, participating in Evarts High School Marching Band, spending much of his life playing the keyboard, and cherished his beloved fur child, Chloe.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Dean of Harlan, KY, and his nephew, Devin Whitener of Tunnel Hill, GA.
Survivors include his mother, Gail King Dean of Tunnel Hill, GA; his brother, Sam (Rolanda) King of LaFayette, GA; his sister, Jessica Harp of Tunnel Hill, GA; his niece and nephews, Wesley (Ali) Harp of LaFayette, GA; Colinda Bender of Tunnel Hill, GA; Chasity King and Sammie Jo King of Harlan, KY; and Tabitha (Keith) Holtzclaw of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
A service to honor Israel’s life will be announced at a later date.
