Helen Marie Hooker, 81, of Chatsworth, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at home, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Chatsworth, GA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Arch and Maude Belle (Hill) Sisk; husband, William Smith; brothers, John Paul, James Clifford (JC), Jerry Lee, and Donald Ray (Buck), and Mike Sisk; sister Peggy Janette Sisk; and granddaughter Sabrina Marie Smith.
Helen had an amazing life filled with love and laughter from her family and friends. She always stood fast to her faith in God. After retirement she was able to spend more time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved reading her Bible, Louis L’Amour books, and watching the oldies like “Pillow Talk” while eating grapefruit sprinkled with salt.
She is survived by her children Donna (Steve) Dowis, Vickie (David) Bailey, Pamela (Tony) Leslie, Kathy (Alfred) Rogers, Penny (James) Morris, John (Jackie) Smith, Stephen (Carrie) Smith, and David Hooker; sisters Billie Sisk and Barbara Morton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Ms. Helen Hooker will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home with Josh Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022.
