Gene Autry Jackson

Gene Autry Jackson, age 85 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Hamilton Medical Center.

Mr. Jackson was a member of Tilton Masonic Lodge #291.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eva Watkins Jackson.

He is survived by his children,  Sherry Jean (Donnie) Rittenhouse and Anthony Ray Jackson; brother, Robert Jackson; sisters, Mary Payne, Connie Wiley, and Anita Wimpey; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Sloan and David (Tiffany Pendergrass) Yaeger; great-grandchildren, Samuel (Anna) Linder, Marcus Worley, Mackenzie, Marlee, and Owen Yaeger, and Austin and Amy Sloan; brother-in-law, Wendell Waters; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gene Jackson will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2025, from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill with great-grandchildren giving eulogoies. Masonic rites will be by Tilton Lodge #291. Burial will be in Dogwood Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2025.
