Last night the matriarch of the Garner family went to be with Jesus. Mom, Nanny, Aunt Dede, was one of a kind special. She never met a stranger, she made friends at every Tim Hortons, Panera and gas station in the Fenton area. She was generous, always giving to others more than she would keep for herself. She loved sports and even on her deathbed was making us laugh by cheering for Flint Northern. She was at every sporting event of her grandchildren/great grandchildren that she could make (in her tigers hat and American flag vest). And most important of all, she loved the Lord. She had a war room in her house where she posted prayer requests and scripture all around. I remember as a kid every time we got in the car she prayed out loud. She was a rare gem and ray of sunshine in this world. I can only imagine the welcome she got in Heaven ❤️ I know she was greeted by “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Nanny would always say “Have a GOD VICTORIOUS day!” and that is certainly what she is doing today.❤️
