David Michael Brinkley

David M. Brinkley, age 72 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Daisy Plott Brinkley; mother of his children, Wanda Jones Brinkley; brothers and sisters, Bill, Tom, Robert, Jim, Jerry, Mary Cummings, Louise Cummings, and Janie Holbrook.

He is survived by sons, David Dewight (Adelia) Brinkley and Larry Dewayne (Lachelle) Brinkley; special niece and caregiver, Jennifer Rogers; brother-in-law, Melvin Cummings; grandchildren, Cody (Whitney), Alexis, Christian, and Malachi; great-grandchildren, Naomi, Kennedy, Faith, and Kyh; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of David Brinkley will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2023, from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill with Rev. Tony Angel officiating. Burial will be in Gordy Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2023.
