Charles Gary Thornton, age 49 of Dalton, passed away October 5^th 2018

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Thornton; brother, Lamar Thornton; and sisters, Laura Fridl and Judy Stafford.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Lora Thornton; daughter, Maya Rearden; sister Gail Williams; brother, Jimmy Bethune; nieces and nephews, James Bethune, Brittany Chance, Tiffany Cargal, Whitney Shaw, Wesley Massengill, Zachary Massengill, Kaleb Pack, and Vence Fridl.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Charlie Thornton will be  2:00 pm Saturday, October 13^th 2018 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill with Rev. Carlos Motley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, October 13^th 2018.
