Charles Jenkins Obituary

Charles Ray Jenkins 09/06/1939-05/03/2026

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we remember the best uncle ever, Charles. His presence brought warmth, laughter and unwavering love to all who knew him. Charles was a devoted husband whose greatest pride and deepest joy was the love he shared with his wife of 57 years. Their marriage was built on unwavering commitment, quite strength and a bond that only grew stronger with time. He loved her not only in the grand moments of life, but in the small, everyday ways that truly define a lasting partnership. Through their laughter, challenges and ordinary days they made extraordinary together. To him, she was more than his wife, she was his closest friend, his steady support and the love of his life! He cherished her deeply, spoke of her often, literally “loved on her” all the time! They found joy in everything they did together. Their love was a reflection of loyalty, grace and enduring devotion. Even in his passion, that love remains. It will forever live on in the memories they created, the life they built together and the amazing marriage that stood as a beautiful example of what true love looks like. Charles was more than an uncle – he was a steady guide, a trusted friend and a source of strength for our family. Charles always offered advice, whether we wanted it or not. He loved sharing stories that made us laugh or simply showed up when it mattered most. He had a way of making each person feel valued and loved. His kindness was evident in the little thing – his willingness to lend a helping hand, his gentle encouragement, and the way he celebrated the joys and milestones of those around him. He carried a quiet strength and generous spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was “true” friend to the ones he called friend. Visits, phone calls, anything to keep in touch with each other. Charles loved hunting, fishing, mountains, lakes, estate sales, and Hiawassee especially. Made friends everywhere he went! Charles proudly served in the United States Army, ER 14 696 363, Specialist Four, USAR.
