Barbara Jean (Grooms) Jackson

Barbara Jean Grooms Jackson, age 89, of Chatsworth passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, in Dalton, Georgia.

Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by her husband, Donald Ray Jackson, Sr.; sons, Donald Ray Jackson, Jr. and Ronald Lee Jackson; mother, Gladys Weaver Grooms; father, Otto Grooms; and brothers, John, Richard, Joe, and Tommy Grooms.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa Whatley and Karren Bennett; grandchildren, Phillip (Susan) Whatley, Michael (Shoni) Whatley, Tabitha (Cord) King, Heather (Ethan) Williams, Sabrina Bennett, and Jon (Patience Howell) Bennett; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Emma Whatley, Dhilen Whatley, Emerson Williams, Easton King, and Elizabeth and Alexandria Bennett; sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Pilkington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Barbara Jean Grooms Jackson will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Central Church of Christ, 515 North Tibbs Road Dalton, Georgia 30720.
