Alfred Jackson Rogers was called home on Sunday morning, October 2, 2022. Alfred was born in Vonore, Tn. on April 15, 1927, the son of Robert & Almita Rogers. He was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church of Chatsworth; GA. Alfred was a World War II veteran of The United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife and the love of his life, Adele Maria “Heidi” Cerantonio, his eldest son, Frederick, brothers Joel, Robert, and Marion, and sisters, Ethel, Patsy, and Arte Belle.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Rogers, his sister, Marie Smith, son, Richard and his wife Margret Cleary of Herndon, VA. His grandchildren, Rachel Rogers and husband Simone Caschili of Chicago, IL, MacKenzie Rogers of Herndon, VA and Andre and his wife Emily Bennett of Portland, OR. Great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Alfred Rogers will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 6, 2022 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Josh Parker officiating. Burial will be in Serenity Hills Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, October 6, 2022.
