Dr. John Estill Jones, age 96 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, December 30th 2017, in Hamilton Medical Center.
Dr. Jones was a professor at Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky,
and he was the former pastor of First Baptist Church of Chatsworth, Georgia, First Baptist Church of Thomson, Georgia, and Dogwood Hills Baptist Church of East Point, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife Violet Moak Jones; children, Jack Jones, Jean Jones Wacaster, and Judson Jones.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Dr. J. Estill Jones will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 3rd 2018, from the sanctuary of Dalton First Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Barlow and Rev. Phillip Canon officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Wednesday, January 3rd 2018, in the atrium of Dalton First Baptist Church.
