Charles Hughes, 76, of Ringgold passed away Thursday, September 19th 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Charles was a life-long resident of Ringgold. He was a member of Keith Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, welding, and watching golf, NASCAR, and westerns on television.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Allene Ridley Hughes.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Hullender Hughes; children, Jennifer (Brian) Mangum, Brad (Desiree) Rhodes, and Sonya (Steve) Ballard; grandchildren, Mason, McCain, Mallie, Dea, Brandon (Sheena), Stephanie (Jarrod) and Grant; great-grandchildren, Halle, Maddox, Cloey, Keeton, Camdyn, and Elleigh; siblings, Austine Bowman, Janie (Bobby) Lockhart, and Gary (Donna) Hughes.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Charles Hughes will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 28th 2019 at Keith Baptist Church 1573 Keith Road Tunnel Hill, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care from Dr. Davey Daniel and Dr. Taylor Whaley of Tennessee Oncology and Regency Hospice of Dalton. Also Charles’ family would like to express its appreciation to family and friends for prayers, food, visits, telephone calls, and help in caring for Charles.
