Winfred Leon (Wimp) Putnam, age 84 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Friday, June 23rd in Ridgewood Manor.
Wimp was a veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of Tunnel Lodge #202 for over fifty years, he was a business owner in the Tunnel Hill area for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Dot) Putnam.
He is survived by son, Greg Putnam; daughter, Cindy Putnam; brother, Charles Putnam; grandchildren, Sommer Redman, Samantha Mitchell, Leigh Ann Williams, Lindsay Jordan, Blake Brooks, Cameron Aycock, and Brandi Moore; great-grandchildren, Tucker Coffey, Ally Coffey, Josie Jordan, Ellie Jordan, Carter Williams, Nathan Tater Thompson, Chasity Thompson, and Amelia Qualls; great-great grandchild, Owen Coffey.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Winfred (Wimp) Putnam will be 2:00 pm Monday June 26th, 2017 from Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church with Rev. Dewey E. Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday, June 25th, 2017.
