Lillie Mae Walls Smith, age 80 of Spring Place, passed away Wednesday, July 13th 2016 in Erlanger Hospital.
She was a member of the Murray County Graduating Class of 1953 and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Rena Hayes Walls; stepmother, Bessie Walls; and daughter-in-law, Leisa Thompson Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rev. James R. Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Ronnie and Angie Smith, Rev. Chuck and Jyana Smith, and Dr. Chad and Lisa Smith; grandchildren, Taira (Ryan) Gladwin, Trent Smith, Tommy Smith, Aaron Smith, Hannah Smith, Justus Smith, Jennifer Wilson and Jordan Wilson; great-granddaughter, Cathryn Lillie Gladwin; brothers and sisters-in-law, C.J. and Bertha Walls and Roy Lee and Syble Walls; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and D.F. Sitton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Per Mrs. Smith’s request, her funeral service will be a private family graveside service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday, July 15th 2016.
